Elizabeth of York was both the wife of a king and the daughter of a king. Her father was the Plantagenet king Edward IV and her husband was the founder of the Tudor dynasty Henry VII. She would give birth to 8 children in her lifetime only 4 making it past infancy. Her son Arthur the Prince of Wales, died at age 15 shortly before she herself died after giving birth to her last child, a daughter, who did not survive either. Her most famous offspring is the notorious Tudor king Henry VIII.
